Barry Can’t Swim

Barry Can't Swim is the moniker of Edinburgh songwriter and producer Joshua Mainnie. Studying at Edinburgh Napier, before moving to London in search of crafting his career, Barry now has two albums under his belt - both embodying his unique blend of electronic production with live musicianship - strings, drums, piano. Woven through a range of tasteful samples pulled from all over the world - from Colombia to Bollywood.

Loner

Loner' is the second album from Barry Can't Swim. A darker feeling than its predecessor, 'Loner' pushes the intensity in peak moments such as 'Different' and 'About To Begin' - which have become rave favourites in BCS' live shows. While there is also the softer down-tempo moments, 'All My Friends' and 'Childhood' providing the peaceful release. The album features the spoken word of Séamus (aka Jamie Livingstone) - Mainnie's long-time friend from home.
