With a fast-growing reputation for her unparalleled knowledge and appreciation for music in its many forms, Rebecca Vasmant is one of the most exciting artists in the UK scene. Her story started in Glasgow, where she has spent years promoting her own parties, holding a residency and record fairs at the esteemed Sub Club, all the while holding a regular spot on BBC Radio Scotland. Bringing her sounds further afield, Rebecca has also hosted a monthly radio show on Worldwide FM.
When she’s not spinning records, Rebecca regularly brings her creative energies to the studio and stage through composing and producing her own music.
In the studio, Rebecca has flexed her production skills on her now sold-out debut album 'With Love, From Glasgow’, released on her own burgeoning record label, Rebecca's Records. Rebecca has just had the release of her widely anticipated second album, which received international acclaim.

Who We Are, Becoming

Pioneering DJ-Producer Rebecca Vasmant has announced the release of her second album, Who We Are Becoming – a striking and exciting contemporary jazz record that cements the Glasgow-based artist as one of the country’s finest musical talents.
Expanding the boundaries of traditional jazz production, Vasmant leads a 25-strong ensemble of musicians on a sonic journey exploring themes of identity, equality, femininity, and self-growth. As she puts it, “This album is about becoming your true self and accepting that we’re part of something bigger.”
Many of the musicians return from her debut, including vocalists Emilie Boyd and Nadya Albertsson, harpist Amanda Whiting, saxophonist Harry Weir, and drummer Graham Costello. New to the ensemble is flautist GOkU, while Vasmant’s own voice makes its debut in her music, adding a deeply personal touch.
